Raid: Shadow Legends is a classic role playing game for your browser. Set in the world of Teleria, which is besieged by dark hordes, you are one of the few remaining heroes that are willing to take the fight to the monsters that are threatening your home. Supported by the realms guardian spririt, you embark on an adventure of epic proportions. Meeting new heroes along the way that are willing to help you in your cause, you eventually form a party of competent warriors and slowly begin reclaiming a world that seemed to be doomed already.
Choose your hero
At the beginning of Raid: Shadow Legends you are following a group of seemingly competent heroes in one of their raids against the dark hordes. While initially everything seems to go smoothly and our heroes are trying their best to overshadow each other with flashy attacks, a towering dragon emerges before us. Within seconds our party has been reduced to cinders and we’re greeted by the guardian spirit of Teleria. She can only resurrect one of these brave souls and so we have to make a decision. In our play through we chose the Templar, a melee based character that offers a well-rounded mix of strong melee attacks and a sturdy defense. Other options would have been for example an orc barbarian or a nimble high elf archer – all of which looked pretty damn impressive for a free to play titles.
Outstanding visuals and sound
Outstanding is most likely the correct word to describe the overall visual appearance of Raid: Shadow Legends. The graphics are simply marvelous, especially for a free to play game that is also playable on your phone. The attacks, the animations and even the professional voice over really left us surprised. Raid: Shadow Legends is a game that definitely had some production value and it shows every second. No matter if you’re in combat, in your base overview or in one of the many dialogues throughout your campaign to reconquer Telaria, Raid: Shadow Legends is a real piece of eye candy.
Form a new band of heroes
Since your friends have just been roasted by that dragon, you are beginning your adventure on your own. Soon after though you will meet your first new allies that usually can be acquired in the form of rare crystals. These crystals basically hold a sort of essence within them that can be unlock by the spirit guardian of Telaria. Depending on the rarity of the crystal you will be able to recruit powerful allies into your service. Each of these allies comes with a unique set of skills that can not only be developed but also needs to be adjusted in accordance with the type of foe you are fighting. In this regard Raid: Shadow Legends provides a compelling argument for different hero setups that you can run in rotations or depending on your task at hand.

In this regard this game is definitely worth a try for any die-hard roleplaying game fan or anyone that aspires to become one.
