Oblivia: The Lost City – A grim future awaits
Sci-Fi MMORPG – The City of Oblivia is in peril. Roaming hordes of gangers and other thugs have taken control over your once beloved town. Time to take things into your own hands – literally – and punch crime back into the shadows where it belongs. This is the story of Oblivia: The Lost City, a recently released free to play title and subject of our current report.

First and foremost Oblivia: The Lost City is a science fiction based MMORPG with heavy emphasis und close combat action. The city you once loved is just a shadow of its former self and while roaming gangs and crime lords took over most of the streets, you decided to put an end to their efforts and take the fight back to them. Starting out as a rookie character, you initially have to punch your way through hordes of thugs before you begin to make a name for yourself and eventually gain enough experience to improve your abilities. A long road lies in front of you and even though there will be many obstacles, you will eventually free the city from its dark influence.
Chain powerful attacks into devastating combos:
Starting out you initially have to make the decision whether you want to play as a male or female character but in the end that is more of an aesthetic choice because by the end of the day both characters use close combat to wipe the filth off the streets of Oblivia. This is one of the features where this game really shines. The combat is pretty crisp and once you made a few levels, you will eventually unlock new abilities that you can link together to form powerful combo attacks which do way more damage than single strikes. Being able to weave a net of deadly strikes, kicks and slashes will pay off and especially in scenarios where you are fighting more than just petty thugs.
In the visual department, Oblivia: The Lost City scores high – like really, really high. This game is definitely in the top ten percent of the best looking free to play titles. Characters, animations and landscapes are simply outstanding and whenever you are engaged into combat, you will most definitely know what we mean by that. Linking your attacks as aforementioned will result in not only flashy strikes but will also leave with such strong visual feedback that you can almost feel the impact of your attacks on the other end of the PC.
Your character, your choices:
When it comes to longevity, Oblivia: The Lost City has quite a few features that will allow fort the game to stay relevant, even after countless of hours played. For instance there are bikes that you can upgrade and customize to your liking, using them as a form of mount or you can spend countless riches into upgrading your characters equipment.If you prefer to engage in exploration or treasure hunting then there are always some events happening in which you can participate and compete with others in order to acquire some of the rate items and weapons. The choice is yours.

The graphics are great, the combat system is clean, crisp and to the point and the overall visual appearance is just pure eye candy. We have sunk around 20 hours into this game now and right now we’re still finding something that catches our attention, making us think “I want that!”.
